was this a newly built/purchased tank, or a second hand?? if its the former, you can be reassured that wherever you got the tank from should be replacing it, and paying for any damages caused. especially if what you mean by "the silicon is lighter" was the bead of silicon was smaller at one end than the other. that indicates horrid workmanship..
on a side note..... call a restoration company or pick up the carpet you have down and let fans and tons of air get between the pad and floor and carpet and pad for atleast 24-48 hours. without the carpet, padding and floor underneath being fully dried, your going to run into serious mold/mildew issues. im a floor mechanic by trade, so trust me, ive seen it.
yea the silicone was solid where it was i bought it used from a friend he never put water in it but he also bought it used its homemade. i left in the garage for about 2 weeks with water in it nothing happened. as far as the floors go the insurance adjuster is coming out today and im going to get serv pro out to to a whole resto on the floors and walls because there saturated.
