220 gallon won't clear up

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I also agree with some prior comments.
* I'd go ahead and use the API liquid
* If you have little to no stock to produce ammonia, your tank may not be cycled, hence 0 nitrates. If you do have fish, be patient, keep checking water parameters and it will cycle.
* I would also a avoid the chemicals in hopes to clear up the water - creates additional variables and potential negatives affects. I am, however, a believer of UV. I've found that it did help clear up my water while cycling, but the negative result is it does kill any BB in a bottle that may be in the water column.
*. I have 300 gallon including sump, and it took around 4 months to cycle as I had very little ammonia being produced. I understand how you feel with the cycling and cloudy water. Good luck.
