220 stock vid. (armatus, dorado, ect....)

I just got my last Armatus to cave a couple days ago. Split a safety pin, put a few bends in it and tied to fishing line. Put a small piece of smelt on it and "Fishing" for my fish worked the very first time..... Even worked with Tilapia. Same method I used for the other 4.

Good luck!!! And keep an eye on that dirty lil Dodo. They like Armatus flavored dorsal and tail fins. Just like a snake in the grass it will earn your trust for many weeks, then just when you begin trusting it the true colors will show.

If you ask me the only way to make it work is a whole bunch of dithers...... My tank seemed packed but obviously not packed enough.

I like that Idea. I tried more shrimp tonight and he's right there three times He went in and got close enough to almost touch the shrimp then he just turned around like it wasn't good enough for him

Yeah I'm looking to move 2-3 fish in before the turn of the year. it all work out and santa brings me some spending cash lol.

I do want some more dithers but I figure I'll have around 3-6 dithers in there but I ahve to get something that will look like it should be in this tank. Not like the african that is in there now.

Some Tems is on my dither list but we'll see if something else comes available. that I like better.

Less then half my Armatus will eat shrimp even after eating smelt for months. Shrimp just isn't natural for them where fish is. Good luck with the dithers hunt! I hear good things about Silver Dollars... Tinfoils maybe? I'd think it would be hard to get food down to the Armatus if you have a large enough group of bass in there to actually serve their purpose as dithers, but I'm far from a Pbass expert. I've only kept 1 Mono and he was offed by a big Jar.

I have to try to find some smelt/silversides. I don't have anywhere in town that carries it I'll have to head to a larger town. I bet I can get it at meijers but again I'll have to travel.

I'm not a big fan of tinfoils or silver dollars. that's what the problem is I want it to be interesting/odd to me so I feel it fits in the tank. and you can't really tell it's a dither. I'm also thinking more Tors. I know Rapps still has some. And I wouldn't mind finding a larger tor putoria also.

Nice tank. How do you put the tile in do you use glue what kind and will any type tile work.

No glue they are just cut to fit on a wet saw and placed in. these are ceramic I think. but most tile will work but I would just get ceramic or natural and you'll definitly be ok.
