Yes, a simple hole will do it. I guess I just figured that you wouldn't want to drill any more holes.

Well, if I do the filtration like I said in the first post, i'll have to drill four more holes and add bulkheads. Its an acrylic tank, so it won't be hard to do. One more hole wouldn't really make a difference to me.

Gotcha. One thing you could do, is come check out my 300. It is pretty much plumbed exactly like you are thinking.
