So I went outside to my 220 in the process of emptying on the floor. I'm not sure when it started but it was bad. It was leaking roughly a gallon per 2-3 minutes. The first thing I did was call my buddy JoeM . I sped over to his house to grab a stock tank, And here's what we did.

I look at the bright side of things, like the fact that I was home when this happen, and not working a 16hour double.

The leak is from the bottom and it is not a slow leak. I'm going to re-silicone and pray.

i guess another good thing is at least it was on concrete floors and not on hardwood floors in an apartment...

Man good luck I had something like this happen to me on my 220. Hopefully you can fix yours like I fixed mine, but my fixed tank had permanent visible damage.

Yeah it was lucky. I've never seen a tank spew water like that. I thought I was unlucky when my 125 had a slow leak.

We were talking about fixing this earlier. What do you mean permenent visable damage?

The bottom was resealed by the previous owner who did a half-assed job because he couldn't reach or something. We didn't realize how bad the seal was until we drained it. It was just a matter of time.

There are so many things that could have went worse. Luckily I have supportive people around me to help with everything. Really puts things in perspective

It hopefully is. My 125 only took about 40 minutes so once we scrape it we should be good. My dad got me a whole bottle of acetone from his work to clean up the seams too, and I still have a ton of it left.

Oh I have a question as well. I know someone on here, DerekP maybe?, had several fish die from nickel poisoning in a galvinized metal stock tank. Seeing as we had no option and a liner wasn't available, we had to go with just my stock tank with no liner. How long would you believe that the fish would be ok for? I mean this is very temporary, but I know Mike is concerned about this.

Any Ideas?
