Hey all..
Wanted to post an update of my 220gal CA community biotope based around the Upper Usumacinta Basin in Guatemala.
My inspiration came from this research paper that I can across a couple years ago:
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/236001462_Fishes_from_Lachua_Lake_Upper_Usumacinta_Basin_Guatemala
Current stock is...
Pair of C. pearsei
6x T. pasionis
8x C. robtersoni
The tank has been up and running for several years now and I have had quite a few other species in and out of this display such as P. melanura, M. argentea, and T. meeki. My pair of C. pearsei are the oldest fish in the tank at close to 5 years. The C. robertsoni are the newest additions and replaced a group of T. meeki that I recently removed. Just last week I picked up a group of 5 very young P. melanura that I have growing out in a 40B. My plan is to possibly introduce a pair into this display, while removing a few of the C. robertsoni once I am able to identify males from females. I may also remove two more female T. pasionis as somehow I ended up with only a single male (I originally had 10).
For now, here is simply a full tank shot. I'll try and collect a few quality pics of the fish and perhaps put together a video.
