I went to Swansea (south wales) to visit my GF, she goes to university there and boy can I tell you it rained for 3 weeks non stop. was great to come back here and its been 24c-30c since I got back.
Hah, this is the first and probably last time I hear of someone being glad to get back to Canada because of the Climate :D Wales is beautiful though.
By the way, I really like how lightly stocked the tank is... shows you really care about the fish.

Thanks Chub_by I know I could have a lot more fish in there, but would rather they were comfortable. I've seen people with multiple arro's in smaller tanks than I have.
Canada is the second largest country so the climate differs from area to area, right now its like spain here. only really have cold winters, the spring and summer are usually very much like southern europe (nothing like england)

The syn does have a lot of potential, in reality the fish has a bright red front face, then it turns purple, fades into blue and then into gold. but the camera doesn't capture the colours quite like the human eye. I have quite subdued lighting too so the colours really pop.

The oscar is doing great, hes fattened out while I was gone and is actually perfectly fine despite missing an eye. as for the GT, I had a bout of ich (white spot) just over a month ago, and sadly the GT and 1 columbian tetra were the only casualties. which is a shame, but im just glad I didn't lose more.

Thanks for complimenting the Vieja, I wasn't sure wether to get rid of it when I sold the Bifa but I'm glad I kept it now.

Sorry to hear of your losses, but on the plus side I'm glad to hear your O is coming along. Any chance of a few FTS's?

I know what its like in wales. Very similar to the lake district! Were I live, Coniston, it rained 283 days of the year last year. Trust me, there is nothing better than watching fish on a rainy day!
