I've pieced together info here and there from reading a lot of threads but has anyone had any trouble or success with switching my 2250 stock pump to a 1260 or 1262 pump?
I know the elbow needs to be replaced. Have that all dialed in and have located a site to order from through a similar post.
Just need to know if the shorter 2250 canister can stand up to 900gph flow. I figure if I'm going to spend 150 on a 1260 pump for 600gph why not spend an extra 20 bucks or so and get 1262 pump for my rays.
Currently running 2 eheim 2217 and a eheim 2250. All my levels stay in check with 50% wc about once a week. Will be uprgading my tank at some point and I want to buy one pump one time.
Tank is 150gallon breeder and stock is 3rays 4 dats, silver aro and 3 weeksi polys.
Can the 2250 handle the flow or should I just go with 1260 pump? Have a guy selling me 1260 pump tomorrow fairly new for 100 which id rather spend extra 60 bucks and tripple instead of double my flow rate.
