  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is a pic of the tank as of now. It still needs work but it is now level and up. Next step is to reinforce the stand, then i will buff the tank and get all scratches out. Once that is completed i will stard cycling water.

Any reason why you are concerned? That stand looks in wonderful shape to me? (and it's prettier than mine :( ) Can you post some pics of the uprights? (<< open the doors and snap pics of the vertical support) Unless the wood is damaged by water etc..., it's more than likely good to go support wise if the wood is in decent shape..

i believe that the stand would be fine if i did nothing to it. but i also believe that it is better safe than sorry. The outside is fine but the uprights are a little hazzy and i would like to add a 2x4 frame. Its more just to make me feel better than anything else. There are a few gaps and some off wood that i want to fix.

Makes complete sense. I have no excuse either, I build my stand out of 2"x6" lol.. They were free from my work so I figured why not use them, my stand is waaay overkill. What about cutting some 4"x4" posts in each of the four corners? That would be more than enough to let you sleep at night, right?

Not much progress since the last update, still gathering supplies... Decided to revamp this set up and got a custom 45g sump that will come in about a week, misclaneous fittings and outlets, and 2 Gen-x 400s :headbang2 This weekend I will buff out lots of the scratches with novus and add the supports to the stand and re plumb the whole tank. More pics later
