Just got home from our buddies' house after watching the mighty Redskins beatin down the Cowgirls to move on to the playoffs... the water seemed fairly murky (dirtier than normal LOL) and BAM... I instantly saw one pup... two.... three... FOUR...... put them in the floating nursery and then I found another. FIVE! She still seems pretty big, but that may be it. Will keep everyone posted! So, 5 pups on December 30th. Who won?????
Oh yeah... and the markings are phenomenal! Three of them have nice huge thick king markings, one looks to have really BIG spots and the last is hard to tell. I didn't sex them yet, but will when I take photos.

Some quick cell phone pics. Will get better pics soon. Time for bed!!! Male had to be moved to my 7x3. I guess all these pups got him going again. He was all over mama and other females. Latched onto her and another female and would not leave them alone. I have a big motoro female in my other tank... hopefully he'll take it out on her. LOL
Oh, and I don't remember any of my other litters being this FAT. You may not be able to tell from the pics, but the pups look like they've just eaten a Turkey Day meal! Umbilical cords still attached!! I will keep them in the nursery for a week or two in the main tank and then move them to my pup grow out tank when I feel like they're ready. Right now, I'm doing water changes by filling the tank until the sump is near full and then pulling out water down to the pumps' suction. Hoping this will minimize any impact to the water chemistry/temp/etc. It's a 180 gallon sump for a 800 gallon total system volume, so a few of these should do the trick to get some of these birthing juices out of the water. Whew!! Whatta night!!!!!
