Well my pond idea has a set back =( 4th hour in digging and I hit the main sewer pipe ! its not very deep but I doubt I can go 2m now..

Seems I have to start digging the pond the other way otherwise it will be to small grrr!! Really annoyed about this haha, I will need to build a bridge now in order to walk from the fishroom to toilet etc else we get a little paddle boat.

Got my baby mangrove jack back today from a mates his 4x bigger in 2 months !!!

9am - 3pms digging with a headache from last night haha. having some food now then hoping to finish it off, I want to rip the old pond up and dig in there a bit then I will build a semi circle bridge for the walkway, I think I am at 1.3 - 1.4m deep so far but I made a mistake and started digging on the wrong pitch so the deep end is really the shallow end, else I dig the other end deeper (2m) will see running out of space for soil.

Yes my dog loves to get in the way when we work outside :)

Almost there, its dark now so I had to stop sadly haha, beer time !

anyone know how safe it would be for me to dig right up the slab? the slab being 120mm thick i am worried if the soil right under it is exposed for some time it may lose structure from the slabs pressure and fall or am I over exaggerating?

Haha I remember when that backyard was a mess of weed and a bathtub full of juicy tannen ;) Looking good, not sure about the slab thing, I'd assume it would be fine though.
 
Looking real good! Thats exactly what my dog does when im working oitside too! Dug a few trees out in the summer, turned around and dog is sitting in the freshly dug hole.
