Sorry guys been a good month that has turned bad but trying to make it positive again! Here are the pictures.
Freshwater sump for the 6x2x2 x 4, changing now will explain lower. It was running great for the 2 weeks it lasted very happy with my out come apart for my crap silicone jobs. hard to reach under that bar.
Salt water sump, Haven't tested it yet should work fine, the glass cutter stuffed up the bubble catcher sheets so they didnt go in straight and he said he cant cut 4mm off too risky so I jammed them in how ever I could.
Convict blenny ( not an eel ;P )
Unicorn Tang, Very nice fish and active.
Rabbit face and unicorn tang.
Convict blenny again, love this fish!
Finished resealing the 550G was a long process but it worked out, picked up a barra to cycle the tank. everything was going sweet with this tank. Had all the fish ready too!
Reef tank with live rock in it, A good friend shut down his salt water tank so I got the live rock to use for the time!
And the best part of this month but also the worst, a 2ft male dovii with a 1.2 ft female dovii. They paired up great and finding a dovii this big down here is a nightmare. I was in so much joy!
Next day, Woke up had a coffee went out to find this..... female was on the floor threw her into the sump but she had already passed. I couldnt find the male then I heard a thump in my snake enclosure and he was in there. I picked him up asap and almost threw him into the salt water tank was freaking luckily i noticed and put him in with the turtles once I got water going threw his gills he got up and sat there for a day. yesterday he was swimming around so the turtles came out but I left the serv she was too hard to catch without my net, they have been swimming with one another and his eating again. Very happy with this If he didn't make it I would most likely of turned all the tanks into snake houses.
My friends think he rammed the glass and being a old tank it just went or he rammed the wood into the glass one or the other. Now the issue is that 6x2x2 is in the hardest spot to get too and its linked to my sump, Id have to take all the tanks out to get a new 6ft in so decided to sell the 6ft on top and the stand, change the room around making it more a man cave with larger walk ways and tv etc.
Seemed smart I would have to take the tanks out one way or another and this gave me the chance to sell all the tanks and be done, I love the room and all the fish but it takes its toll on my body and stress I am going flat out daily with school and work to pay for everything then I have to do all the maintenance. after a heavy thought I went with the above option turning it into more collective/man cave room rather then my original goal breeding lots of fish. So I went and got a 8x4x3 =D its coming this Saturday. started emptying all the tanks that have to be moved almost done just the SW and tank the dovii is in are left. then we have to carry them all outside too make way for the big tank once thats in place all the other tanks can go back in.
8x4x3 is going to be a monster tank, RTC, TSN, arowana and some larger cichlids OR later down the track will turn it into a salt water shark tank it just makes the requirements for some of the smaller sharks and would be sweet having a shark tank but which ever way I go I need time to set everything up again re budget and read more in depth about sharks etc they are amazing creatures but everyone I have spoken too says they are no where like keeping a freshwater fish or even a sw reef.
