hi im getting a 6'x30"x30" 235 uk gallon tank and wanted a mixed central and south american tank but wasnt sure on the stocking im hoping i can get some sugestions i also have another tank with a 2-3" jack dempsey 1 pair of cons 1-2" and two uraus 4-5" they could go into the new tank or stay where they are any sugestions and advice would be greatly appreciated

thnx for the replys i was thinking of more towards jack dempseys, green terrors, cons, severums, texas that sort of thing if you could come up with a stocklist i would be very grateful

I wouldn't do a pair of convicts just because they will terrorize your tank after they start popping out fry. You could always do 2 males or something though. The uarus might have a problem defending themselves if anybody gets aggressive. If I were you I would get a jack dempsey, green terror, texas/carpinte, various types of cryptoheroes species, and a couple of cool plecos if your water is right.

nanoluteus are way cooler fish to have in your tank than convicts

hey thnx for the reply ,them cryptoheroes are great looking fish ill see if i can get hold of them so a jd, gt, texas and maybe cryptoheroes or if i cant get hold of them maybe a rotkiel or two . as i stated before the uarus can stay where they are and so can the cons but i was thinking live food maybe for the larger fish would appreciate it lol if you have any other ideas just say them thnx again

Try some larger specimens.
Argentea, Synspilium, Managuense, Festae, Carpinte, Motaguense, Citrenellum.
stuff like that.

In my limited experience with Uaru they can hold their own with similar sized semi-agressive cichlids such as sevs and gold saums. At least in my tank my Uaru is second in command.

Id go with your existing Uaru and add a few more and maybe some Sevs as they make good tankmates

agreed..... uaru and gold or red severums would make a nice contrast to each other. They tend to have the same agression level as well, but i would say sevs are more aggressive than uaru.
