Awesome. I'm glad someone brought this thread back to life. Now I finally know how to set up the drip system on my two small tanks!

Got it (subscribed ;) )

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. The drip is an absolute lifesaver. I wouldn't have been able to maintain a tank like that after my son was born ... Impossible to put a price tag on. But if you insist: Just google Chemilizer 55 and you'll find it runs ~$200. Add to that the whole house filter from Lowes, supplies and PVC, and it all comes to ~$350 if I had to guess. Honestly, I did not keep track. It's one of the things you just do ... I bet there's no window sticker at Ferrari dealerships, either.

Thanks for the response back HarleyK ! Going today to help Tellemuno install his on his Monster 480 gal. tank . Thanks to your information and photos installation should be a breeze , Thanks again !

Well not exactly a breeze but going good , should have a few hours or so to finish tomorrow . I think Tellemuno is going to post some pics on our progress , his fish are going to love it when its up and operational ! Thanks again HarleyK !!

Well its up and running ,only a few extra trips to Home Depot but everything went pretty smooth ! Just a couple questions though HarleyK , on such low water pressure compared to when you turn up the water, the Chemilizer dosen't click as often . How can you tell if enough prime if any is being sucked up to treat the water adequitly ? How often does yours click on such low water pressure ? Thanks again HarleyK !

Great to hear! Congrats on the drip. You guys will be so happy that you did it.

My Chemilizer clicks approximately every 30 sec, which I measured to be ~4 gal/hour. Roughly.

Yeah! Awesome! You'll love it.

I'm actually in the process of extending the drip to my other tanks right now :)

thanks for letting a journeyman plumber know how a check valve works. theres a right and a wrong way to install them, this way is just plain wrong.

im not rippin on harleyk, just letting him know.

We just installed one of these check valves on my buddies auto changer and that is the correct way to install it per the manufacturer
