hey guys
im using this heat emmiter and i keep reading that its a 24 hour heat source
but its for a bearded dragon
dont they need temperature drops?
should i keep the basking spot on all night?

sounds good
i was also thinking about using repti sand for my beardie
hes about 7 inches now not completley sure i will check when i get back tonight
think i shud wait? or do you guys think he will do find in it

I always trun all lights and heat emmiters off at night. It's the same as in the wild, it get cold at night. Just make sure the tank does not get lower then 75 at night.

I'd wait till hes a bit older and i heard siffed play sand is the best sand substrate if you choose to use it? Do you feed him in his cage or in a different spot? Cuz if you don't feed him in the cage it wouldn't be as harmful.

does this apply to all herps aswell? because on those infrared packs it sais something like "Great for 24 hour use"

I dont like infrared lamps for nigth heat :grinno: You can use them but they waste electricity and some animals have trobble sleeping wille they are on. My igs dint sleep a thing in the nigth I tryed them and I didnt also. They were agitated and didnt setle. Never tried that again. Now i have ceramic lamps and in case some big cool wave comes I also have heat pads;)
