Wow Koji that red is beautiful

That is a super high quailty red. I was over in Singpore a few months ago. I wish i would of got a chance to visit that farm. Thanks for sharing.

Those are some really amazing colored aro's both red and gold!!! I'm sure their sold at premium prices.... When people spend so much money on such high quality aro's are there any gurantees that the colors would stay the same in the long run? given that the aro's land in good hands of a responsible hobbyist, given the best water quality and be fed with a good diet??? I understand taht an aro will have a difference in color due to light and background color of the tank, but if the aro's do have such good genes as seen here then both light and background color of tank shouldn't effect the color of the aro to extreme differences... like gold heads fading... etc.... I'm just curious.

You are right. They shouldn't affect much of their colouration since it's all about the genes. As for the golden head fading, most probably due to the development is still not fix and seller already sold them to hobbyist. As far as it concern, so far those golden heads I sent over to canada (Shine Aquatics) got a stable fixture of development on their head and some even developed further after that.

End of the day, arowana development in term of colouration should become better over time and not reversed.;)

Generally guarantees don't exist in lifestock. Many responsible hobbyist cannot maintain the same color. Keeping a red arowana is no easy feat. The arowana will look different. For better or for worst will depend on the hobbyist skill in bringing out the red arowanas color.
