How much is a gallon of that coating? Since it's USDA and FDA approved I would assume that it's fish safe as well. Someone should look into this more since it's always nice to have more options for sealing tanks.

thanks I found them also this morning. Now when I look at the data sheets what am I looking to determine if it is safe for fish?
You could try pond armor. Seems to be a lot more safe. http://www.pondarmor.com/
Edit: You would want to the structure really stable though as it can get stress fractures.

About two quarts maybe three. If it was me I would buy a gallon though just to have extra.
Edit: I always buy more of something in case I use it again. Which I almost always do. 1 quart covers 60square ft you got about 50 square ft, but its also plywood.
