That looks great and that sump has a lot of room for extra goodies. I'm jealous!

I'm sure you have already done this but I wanted to mention it just in case. Have you drilled a syphon break hole in your return line?

Yes, I have 2 in each return on the spray bars

Nice man. Any fish yet ??

No fish yet, just started adding some river pebbles. My nice tank went from clear to backwater murky in no time. It will probably be days before things clear up :irked:

I guess my cleaning job was not as good as I thought :(

That sucks. It happens regardless though if you use the non epoxy coated pebbles. I prefer the natural pebbles myself but after about a month and a few water changes all that stuff disappears:) Since there is no fish try a few 100% water changes really stirring the gravel with a pyhon.

thats how I cleared up my 75G quickly. I will leave things run for a day or so to get the larger crap out, and then start the H2O changes.........the city water co. is really going to love me this month:ROFL:

i have to say that is a great setup. I hope to get one going myself so i might just hit you up for some info.

Sweet progress :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

Added some fish....3 to be exact (goldfish from the feeder tank) just to test the water and get things moving along.

I added acrylic sheets with industrial velcro to keep a nice seal (with easy removal) around all the openings to limit water loss and splashing on the sump and the main tank. Pay no attention to the wads of pillow fiber I am using to clear the tank up from the pebble install. I have a nice filter pad setup and about 8 gallons of bio balls.
