*A Little Louder* SSSaaaaaaaalltttt WWWaaatterrrrrrrr.....

too expensiveeeee.... plus, I love the uniqueness of the freshies, and the fact that I have the know how to keep them alive. haha.

The "pretty colors" that marine fish exhibit really doesn't "float my boat" per sei..

what size tank is your red tailed catfish in?

As of right this second, a 125... picking up the 180 this weekend... and I have him 300 in the yard right now with snow in it..

I have an intex pool of 3000 gallons sitting in my shed new in box that I am setting up for the summer once my koi tank gets taken down inside.

Oh well i personally love a black water amazonian type set up. the look of a nice piece of driftwood makes me amazed. If i had the opportunity i would put a red tailed catfish in there til he grows out and you can put him in with your tsnxrtc mix. Red tailed are a gorgeous addition for a bottom feeder. And i would add cichlids to the mix as well maybe some viejas. I like vieja argentea. You could even put fully grown severums and uarus in there. They look similar body shape wise but can have really nice coloration contrast to play off one another and you can set up mini colonies. Uarus are seen as bland to some but they can get blue cheeks and have nice finage to drive it to a show specimen. Sevs look very good and bring personality and it drives that blackwater rio set up home. Either way you go im sure you will get compliments on the fish. I know how rewarding a red tailed can look in a tank with some nice big south american cichlids. Best of luck, tell me how it goes im sure either way you go about things it will look really good.

I'm gonna list all of the different things that I have put through my head..

1. Fahaka tank with sand, and plants, and drift wood.
2. Frontosa/Calvus Tank (but, I am planning on selling my colony soon I think)
3. SA tank with my Jag-midas- bichirs..
4. bichir- pleco tank (and any other good fish that will fit) (plants, rocks, wood)
5. African cichlids- TONS

In all honesty, I want something that is going to look good, and look natural. All of my plants will be kept in clay pots though. So natural, minus the pots. haha.
