Ok a 240 tank which is 96x24x24 or get a 300 wide,96x 30x25. Duh it is 60 gallons Difference but with that foot print does it give you enough to add another big SA/CA. My stock will be 4x bichirs
2x oscars
2x pikes, probably red atapo
And a 25-28 cat fish
And idk another big cichlid.
Bigger is always better but say 300 is the price Difference, is it worth it. Also can a wood stand still be an option with this weight

If the price diff is only a couple hundred more then it's def worth it for the added depth. And yes a wood stand would be just fine. I have a wood stand for my 300 and it's mostly flake board from the manufacturer and it's fine

If you have the space and the money it's always better to go bigger. Water stability will be improved and your stock will be happier. You might get away with another big placid ca/sa cichlid like a Pearsi or chocolate but even if you don't add anything it is certainly worth the money. Or if you decide to change directions in the future it just opens up a whole new list of options. Get the 300.

Pick up the 500 and convert it back to fw;) awesome price if it's in good shape

Gotcha. Too bad. If it's your last a 500 would be a good way to cap off the list;) it's almost never the last though.

You can have a wood stand for any tank. Might not be cabinet style in the coventioal sense though. My son is making s wood stand for my 700. I would be more concer ned with floor bracing. GO BIG!
