240 vs 300 tank foot print

Good move, getting dimensions/holes/braces/overflows etc etc exactly how you want them is often well worth the cost of a new tank vs some old second hand thing that isn't quite the right shape.

It would be a little tight getting it through my doors but I'd opt for the 300 wide.

my tank is 30 inches wide, I wish I'd gone with a 36", or even better would have been 48". of course I would have liked another 15 or 20 feet on the length.
