HELP! We just noticed that the center support of our glass 240g has come loose/off. It has separated from the front of the tank almost 1/2".

We moved the dats and the aro's to another tank, but still have 3 rays in the tank.

We have drained just over 1/3 of the water and the front seems be have come back. But don't know where to go from here on the fix. Can we just clean and silicone with water/fish still in the tank? Do we have to drain the tank completely?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

-Just another 11:30pm emergency-

What kind of brace is it? Do you have a pic?

On my center brace I had to remove the silicone and then re-silicone and use 2 cheap hand clamps from harbor freight to keep it together. Since I do not trust my tank now I just leave the clamps on the tank.

Its a large glass center brace. I cant get any pics my camera is at work. I'm thinking a clean and silicone should do the trick.

If you clean it well, it should hold no problem. Just make sure ALL of the silicone it off.

I took the day off and got a box of razor blades. I'm working on the silicone removal now.

would ge 1 work for this or is there a better choice. Ive used ge 1 in my sump I'm just wondering about adhesion?
