The tank looks good but i dont put much value in the filtration or the stand: i wouldnt use the filtration thats included, there is no lighting, i dont care for africans, and I would have to skin the stand to make it more visually pleasing. Maybe youre different and would use the stand as is, but i wouldnt, and I would not pay $900 for that. if it were me, i'd make him an offer on just the tank and see where the bargaining goes from there.

I agree. I paid $750 Can. ($700 U.S.) for my 200 tank that has no scratches, strong stand, covers and gravel. I suggest you keep looking.

$900 for that setup is way too much. undergravel filters and powerheads are worthless. maybe if it had a wooden stand, lighting, a sump or good canister filters, then maybe. the way it is, i wouldnt pay more than $500

except the part about the stand. The steel stand is by far stronger then a timber stand, just doesnt look good if its plain.

$500 is a good offer

Actually depends on what fish is included, seeing how the poster is a african cichlid type of person it might be worth it to him. Why ask, if you think its a decent price pick it up.

Of course, you can. I can see someone going from $1200 --> $900. But $500 is a stretch. I prefer the steel stand too. It'll never rot. Just cover it.
