YTMND!!!!!! nice addition! wonder how old he is? how big is the tank you keep him in? ......... I totally believe this since i saw a common pleco once at a lfs in boston that was 2 ft. the guy said when they got him he was about 6 inches. they always had zuccini in the tank for him, and in 18 months he exploded wih growth! this is no fisherman's tale, just big fish. how much did you pay for him?

As for a picture with a ruler... I'd love to see one just to see, but either way, you've got a massive fish there. I absolutely wouldn't risk taking that guy out for a stupid picture, but a lucky shot against the glass would be great! Maybe you could get a paper ruler and tape it against the glass and just keep the camera on hand. Looking forward to seeing it!

I've got a 5 1/2"-6" Gibb and it has adequate wood in the tank, meaning at all times it's pooping.
