It's fine to have certain amount of light in there. but also depending on your tank size and depth. mine is a 2.5 footer depth and width thus my 24/7 light on for this tank is fine for I'm using normal FL only.

Kinda regreted selling my koban kin and koban blue that were one of the first pang long aros that arrived in Canada. But an absolute gold with full helmet is a must in my tank.
