Thanks guys, do I need two sumps or is that just an option? It would seem doing one would make more sense than having two and connecting them. Since by connecting them you are esentially just making it one. Or am I missing the point?
One is more than enough if you design it right. My 250g tanks sump is 26 gallons. Dedicate at least half of the 50g sump to be for bio-media and then pack it full of scrubbies.
