Id go with predatory African haps, champsochromis or tyrannochromis would fit the bill for me. Cool looking blue fish that are very active.

You could do some Malawi haps. Champsochromis, Buccochromis, Tyrannochromis or Fossochromis. Or man up and get Boulengerochromis microlepis.
