nice set up what affect do the lava rocks have?

It is biological filtration, similiar to Bio-Balls or Ceramic Rings. I have heard that this can leach iron into a saltwater aquarium, but is a viable biological filtration for freshwater.

Sure we should do that sometime. But let me know before you come, I might ask you to haul some fish over for me. LOL!

Divider comes out when the emps grow a tad more. Cause my Pbass is a monster. It's about 14" now, but when it was 12" it ate 2 x 9" TSNs!! THAT'S RIGHT! TWO!!!!!! That bastard.

I believe they are Cherax quadricarinatus aka Australian Red Claw Crayfish. I have one regular one in there and the rest are blue morphs.
