Yes they thrive in there like the streams in the wild. I can't take pics of them since the overflow is black and they blend in, even with flash. They also hide behind the PVC pipes.

MUST MAKE NOTE: BUY ALBINO BUSHY NOSE PLECOS NEXT TIME!! :swear:

Oh, I like to point out that those filter tray are made to slide out for easy maintenace. :hearts:

oh yes yes forgot to mention they are drawer style and slide out easily :)


I am most definitely taking advantage of the filters. I have only you to thank for this awesome set up.
 
forgot to chime in on the the crayfish boys, when i kept a rtg in my 30g i put eggcrate accross the bottom 1/4of the tank with my filter suction tube right below it housed with various sized crayfish

they spawned readily and jueniles swam through the hole and were easy pray for the aro while his poop was food enough for the crays to thrive

they learn to eat flake really fast as well
