250g Setup

Hey,
As some of you may know, I am going to be purchasing a 250 gallon tank to house to brown banded bamboo sharks. But I am having trouble picking the best setup. I have already made up my mind that I will be getting an acrylic tank. But I was wondering what your guys thoughts are on the "Uniquariums".

Protien skimmers can come with it aswell, and fit into the back. Aswell as room for heater. So to me it seems like a good tank. But I would like advice from you guys. So let me know if you think this would be a good tank for my sharks.

Hmmm -- while I hate acting like the "Shark Police", but I do feel that I need to inform.

Generally standard size aquariums(including the 240-300 gallon tanks) are ill-suited for most sharks, because they are simply not wide enough.

While Scott Michael, suggests in "Aquarium Sharks & Rays" that bottom dwelling species, only need a tank that is 75% of their maximum length. Which means by his figures that Brown-banded Bamboo would need a minimum width of 30".

The truth is bottom-dwelling sharks need a wider tank, than that. The absolute minimum width for any tank is equal to the maximum adult length of the shark you plan to put in it. In the case of the Brown-banded that 40".

Still the best design for a shark tank is a pool or pond. These general offer better surface/swimming area for the shark. And are general cheaper on your wallet.

I have asked many people, and all of said 30" is a fine width for Brown Banded Bamboo sharks. The tank I will be getting is 96" L , 30" W " , 25" H. I am planning on creating a pond, but that is my summer task. Anyways, can someone please help me out with the uniaquariums?
