My plan is to do a hybrid bean animal/herbie drain. I toyed with drilling larger holes or using the big drain as the main siphon but settled on going with the two small drains as siphons and the 1 1/2” as the emergency. I got some good advice on the forum that helped me come to that conclusion.

I went with the Jaboa pump. It was really cheap and very energy efficient. I also like the control it offered. If it fails I’ll have a power head in the display.

Here’s some final plumbing steps before the test fill. 5438DA41-7FD5-482F-8C94-2347EA5FC75F.jpeg 59A2D859-23A8-464B-8222-7EF4656444AA.jpeg B60E8DEC-0223-4B85-9EF6-F462913962E0.jpeg 89C5F500-3D50-44E9-A7C0-B5F2241AB006.jpeg

OP, you may want to add a strainer to the full siphon drain pipe. Just some added insurance and won't slow down the drain to any significant amount.
