im looking for wet pets i was thinking of doing like 5 or 6 oscars, but i also am looking for another wet pet cichlid from south america that grows around the same sizes, and then maby like a BGK, or a small group of green knifefish. what would you guys suggest for the other species of cichlid?
For filtration its goint to be a clossed loop dual fluven fx5 filtration systeme w four outlets and 2 inlets:headbang2

well i wanat like a small group that each can have a personality, would that work w a quetzal? u know what one im talking about?

not sure about all compatability issues but personally i would go for a jag, only just got mine and he is great and full of personallity, also consider a green terror, have heard of issues when terrors are in with o's mind

cheers

chris

I don't know that I'd go with something as boring as oscars with that big of a tank, so many possibilities, parachromis, crenicichla, cichla, ect...

throw in like 50 different cichlids, whoever survives is what goes in our tank

lol, just kidding, go with some parachromis

yea, im thinking of doing a group of all males silver vieja, like 3, and then like 1 chuco godmanni male, or maby like a breeding pair of trimacs, or a dovii, i want to like have a few fish in there instead of just having like 1 or 2.

LOL my cousin said the same thing to me once somewhere along the lines of "Yeah you only want strong fish so throw 20 or more in a 30G whoever survives that's the fish you want" he was joking of course. He has a tank for his frontosa that he loves more than his gf.

I would personally recco a GT or a Jag (or hey why not both your tank is big enough) they're such fun fish to watch and are very interactive with their owners.

a jag a a true gt or a gold saum? just wondering that would be pretty interesting. But i really am wondering if three male silver viejas would work, then maby like a more colerfull male vieja specimen
