25lb Largemouth Bass

My best was 5 lbs. (Pretty nice fish for MN) and it broke my rod in HALF. It broke my rod in HALF. It broke my rod in Fu*&in HALF. Bought an ugly stik after that.

ill find a pic somewhere, we just moved outta our apartment into a house so ill prolly be able to get it outta storage in my picture collection sometime this month.:headbang2
 
Yeah dig those out. I will dig out the pic of the 2 lb bass I caught, because my Mom thought that 2 lbs. might qualify as some sort of record. It would be for my Mom.

I can't beleive he would throw a world recored back.:screwy: So what if he didn't hook it properly, he still CAUGHT it. If that would have been me that fish would now be on my wall.
 
If he kept it, it would have been illegal. He probably wanted another shot at a legitimate record.

and then that fish would be no more. no more fry to inheret its traits for survival, no more larger strain in the next hatch. that could be the only larg fish in there, then all the little ones would take over and stunting would occur 'cause theres no big bass to eat the little bass. anything over 7lbs should be thrown back IMHO, but hey, its yours and your kids future! i try to do my part and enjoy the sport, C&R anything too big, too small, or im not going to eat.
 
I agree with that. Get some good measurements, have a replica made.
