Will get pics up when I get camera up and running.

The wetdry is a Amiracle Maxi-Reef 300
http://www.aquatichouse.com/FILTRATION MENU_files/maxireef.asp

The problem is the bulkhead is leaking. How do I fix this?

Also for the return pump for the wet dry I have a mag drive 5. Do I need something bigger? If so, what?

The overflow box is either this: CPR CS102 Overflow Box or this CPR CS202 Overflow Box

I watched the video and am confused, this overflow is just gravity fed right? How do I get it to start to work?

The lighting is coralife aqualights but the lights are old and the fans dont work so i was thinking of replacing them with these: http://www.aquatraders.com/aquarium-lightings/odyssea-48-108w-2x-54w-t5-ho-light-fixture.html

Are these good? Is this site legit?

Also the protein skimmer is a euroreef with a sendra pump on it. The problem is when I put water in the wetsdry the protein skimmer floats up. How do I fix this?

Thx

Not sure about the other questions, the overflow you have there is a siphon overflow you have to prime it by sucking all the air out of it then it will siphon to the other side of the overflow which will then gravity feed to the sump. Usually you can get a pump to do this on a continual basis I think it is called an aqualifter if you don't have one of these it is possible air can get trapped in the overflow and the siphon would fail.

I use the CPR CS102 Overflow Box, to get it to start you can put a hose on the clear nipple thats on top and suck the air out and then put the hose in the water so that it sucks water in and not air. make sure the small compartment thats in the sides with the bulkheads is full of water and the part in the tank is and 1/4 " under water first. Or you can buy the tom aqua lifter on http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem~idProduct~OE1137.html
i dint have one for a long time then i got one and i love it so much it makes for one less thing you have to do. Good luck with the tank and the set up. Post lots of pics.

how does it suck water in though its going up not down.

the pump just sucks the air out right? Because the guy told me to connect it to a pump, which I did.

What will happen is when all air is purged from the overflow it will create a siphon then when water on the tank side rises it will siphon over to the other side and then fall to the sump. If there is air in the overflow all that will happen is your tank will overflow as there is no siphon to carry the water over the edge of the tank.

so what i have to do to get it started is suck the air out of the overflow by sucking it or connecting it to a pump then put the tubbing into the water?

It will work, just keep the air out of it and it will keep flowing. No worries.

will it matter if the tubing is long?

put it in the water then connect it, make shur the small compartment in the back is full of water, then make sure the part in the tank is under water, then put your pump on it, then turn pump on , then watch it suck air to pull up the siphon, and boom it should be working.
