do you have a pic of hoe your w/d is set up? mine doesn't have a chanber for any kind of prefilter...the drain just dumps right onto the drip tray.

that's how mine works as well. I just put the polyfill right on the drip tray.

hm, interesting, maybe i'll give that a shot. the only other thing i could think of would be stuffing like a 20micron filter bag or something through the hole inthe top so all the water flows through that, so it would just rest on the drip tray. thanks.

The filter bags work really well but they'll clog up after a week or 2.
