This thread has me kicking myself for never getting pictures of my Midas cichlids back in the mid 1990's. I see very few that could hold a candle to them. I had some Hogs 4 years ago but due to a power outtage that lasted a few days I lost a lot.
Back in 93-94, my sister in law's father gave me some Midas fry which started my aquatic journey. The frys father was the most gorgeous Midas I've seen to this day. Super yellow, thick head, chin, and overall shape. Only If we'd had smartphones back then
I got them from a local fish shop,I asked if they knew where they got them from but the employee didn’t know.They had them for a good 2 months but I was waiting on my tank to cycle.There all between 2 1/2 -3 1/2 inches I’ve had them a week now really a cool fish hope they stay chill.The salvini on the other hand are a little more rambunctious,but I thought they’d be cool together.Have 5 of each in a 180 so the herd will eventually be thinned
