This behaviour of striking at food is completely new, may be 4-6 months.

Else it was just cruising the bottom of the tank at feeding times.

So when he started this behaviour of striking where food is being dropped he did tag one of the Dorados on the belly near the anal fin, the Dorado got three deep gashes jurassic park style, but went about feeding unfazed, and healed quite rapidly. Haven't seen any such injuries again

My goonch started with the attacking food thing almost as soon as he got comfortable in the tank. You're fortunate I'd say lol

The fella is almost 5-6 years old, got him at 4-5" size, although i got two of these and one yellow coloured highland goonch.

Lost the high land and one of the low land during two separate power outages.
