That is a nice set up man. Yeah they love to perch on things. Dont let my opinion discourage you from trying something. Its not only aggression from the cichlids but you have some heavy hitters and polys are incredibly slow eaters especially when you compare wc to cb. Try it out only time can tell
Btw if your planning on keeping lower jaws they arent going to appreciate all the decor. Better off with an open layout
I just have it like that because everything is smaller at the moment for the 300 I plan on just having something in the center or one of the sides.
