280g Plywood Tank Build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks Kyle. I'm itching to seal it already but haven't decided on the filtration yet. Still a long way to go.

Thanks John. Sweetwater was my first choice but unfortunately the shipping cost is too much. They quoted me for $650 for just a gallon plus shipping because its hazmat. I read your build too before I started this project, and that's one cool OHF you got there. Good to hear you enjoyed your short stay here looking forward to meeting you in person next time you fly in.

Thanks, The OTF is great, however very loud. May scrap if for the time being and build a behind tank PVC filter until my wife and I buy our house and I can plumb the filter to the garage so I dont hear it.

Update. Finished sealing it with liquid rubber.

Been raining most of the day for the last 2 weeks now so there's no way to bring the tank outside and bake it in the sun. Had to rely on my halogen worklight to help in drying.

Trying my hands on DIY background while waiting for the LR to dry.

Not sure how the background will look like inside the tank. Might install it, might not.

Once again, thanks for looking.
