How does this sound for a 29gallon community tank?

2x Kribs, 7x neon tetras, 9x tiger barbs, 3 yoyos and some otto's for algea

this is a planted sand bottom tank, and part of the way i got my 55 was letting my mom pick out the fish for the 29 and she wants those green tiger barbs, she loves the kribs and her and dad like the neons......but she does hate the yoyos lol

hmm, well i've had tigers in schools of 5 before and they are real nippy then, so i heard they become less nippy and aggressive with a larger school....but i suppose we could try out 7 of them and go from there.

thanks! can't wait to get this tank all set up, it should look amazing

tigers can go either way, keep them alone and they are mean cause they are scared, give them a group to calm them and they can turn into a mob. I agree with the 7 purely cause they can get quite chunky.

I have 5 tiger barbs in my son's 55 gallon community tank and they have always been nippy. The angel fish keep them in line though!!!

welp, i got 10 little (.75") tiger barbs, 7 of them green and 3 of them regular. i was only going to get 7 but with the discount i got it was 10 for $10 or individually $1.49 so it was cheaper to go with 10.

its pretty funny watchin my one krib thats in the tank now (other is in a QT) try nipin the little barbs like its trying to eat them, but they just swim away. i have a feeling the fight should be pretty even by the time they reach 2 1/2" and the kribs have formed a pair.

The tank sounds good, but one little piece of information. I added a male & female Krib to my 45 gallon community a few weeks ago. Everything was great until they spawned. They took over about 90% percent of the tank and all of the other fish were relegated to the remaining 10%. I couldn't take the obvious discomfort of the other fish, so I moved the female to another tank and now everything is back to peaceful with the just the male in there. But they are an awesome fish!

ya ive got a spare 10gallon tank on hand for that if it happens
