That's awesome. Now I'm considering keeping up my search for a fire eel.

Dunno if they would ship them or not, but a LFS here in N. Texas has 2 of them. They are about half the size of the one in this post, I think they are asking like $49 each. http://www.planopets.net

I have another fire eel about half this size if any one wants it.

14-16" -$125

This beast has left the building. A little bird told me I have another the same size coming... we'll see what happens. Price and size coming soon...

BTW- Good luck with your new eel if your looking at this.

Thanks bro

He didn't eat last night, but only seemed interested in inspecting every inch of the tank...

big eel, but not near 5 pounds

I wish I could have put him on a scale, because he felt much heavier than 5 LB plate.

Impossible to say for sure, until I put him on a scale, though.;)

How much did he weigh when you seen him? Hahaha J/K. If he is not 5lb he is very close, thicker than most aro this length. The base of his neck/head is about the size of a pop can.

I actually has to "spot" softturtle, as he deadlifted the eel out of the tank. :D

I'm seriously thinking about weighing the big s.o.b., now... :screwy:
