Hello Everyone,

For my sister's birthday, she is getting a 29-gallon cube. She wants plastic decoration, can do floating plants, and a mixture of Sand and Gravel. Stock-wise, she wants Platys and/or Mollies. I have Cory Catfish in my 55 that I am moving over to hers. So Cory Catfish are indefinite. Any showy fish that is ok in a community tank is game for her. She loves Platys/Mollies, so they NEED to be part of stocking.

29 gallons doesn't give a lot to do with, so I was thinking a Dwarf Gourami as well. She isn't such a big fan of Tetras, though they would be fine choices for her. Nothing to complicated.

To narrow my rambling, stocking has to be:

-Showy
-Community Fish
-Easy Keeping
- Include Mollies/Platys, and Cory Catfish

Glass catfish? Or possibly get a bunch of these cichlids I don’t remember what they’re called but they stay small and live is shells. Another idea is some type of dwarf cichlid maybe but not sure

He means shell dwellers. Nevertheless, no cichlids for her. Dunno why she doesnt like them
Making it a challenge for us. What does she think about the species Pseudomugil cyanodorsalis. They get a couple inches and are extremely beautiful. Common name is neon blue eye.

I would highly recommend species-only tanks. For example, a tank with only rosy barbs, a tank with only tiger barbs, a tank with only neon tetras, or a tank with all guppies.

Not simple. You need to order them online.

She wants multiple species. Please read original post before posting.

She likes this stock:

1 Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami
3 Platys
6 Neon Tetras
5 Guppies
2 Cory Catfish

Neon tetras can be fin nippers. Also what about some type of smaller loach or maybe a Roseline sharkminnow
