I've never kept them, but I thought CL were one of the only species that started to lose color with dominance. I could be mistaken.

@ Diogenes; If it is like that, then its the complete oppisite in my tank lol. The darker, more brilliantt colored one is less afraid and more daring.

if you look at them being crammed into an lfs tank by the hundreds then look at 6 in a 4ft or 5ft tank, you will see which ones are happier.

dominance is a different issue to happiness but if you read here http://www.loaches.com/articles/clown-loach-coloration-marking-variations it states that the author has observed the dominant loach greying out. i didnt notice this when i had them but everyone has different experiences.

Nice lookin tank man, BUTTTT..since this is Monster Fish Keepers and all, you need to go BIGGER!!! Good start on the 90 tho

i had a bad outbreak of ick and fungi and the only 4 four fish are left which are the two corys and 2 rasboras ill check to see if any more have passed away. I really miss my loaches i cry whenever i think bout them:(:rip
