Thanks for the suggestion, however if you read a few post back you will see that my 29 gallon is now housing my ornery little female convict.

WOW looks like some one needs to go and research fish keeping in the 21st century, thanks to knew knowledge about nitrogen cycle/beneficial bacteria we no longer have to put poor fish through the stress and suffering of ammonia and nitrite spikes in order to properly cycle a tank!!

and OP why don't you get your little meany a boyfriend, that way at least she will help you by providing good feeders for your other fish

I am assuming that this was meant for me. I have been thinking about getting her a male friend, I think breeding would be fun but have heard so many horror stories about how over whelming it can be given the the rate at which they reproduce. I will have to think about it a little longer.

By the way not sure what OP means.

OP means Original Poster lol, n yeah they can be a bit overwhelming but whatever your fish don't eat you can just give to petsmart or petco, they wont pay anything for them but will usually take them in

OK I thought about all last night and most of this morning and I will go over to the LFS on Friday and pick up a male convict.

Breeding tank here I come!
