I've never had a problem. I had a gourami with my sevrum and parrot fish, Nd the gourami ACTUALLY lip locked with it both if them lol

Quick google search and it seems like pearl gouramis seem to get along fine with firemouths. Trying to decide between a keyhole or a gourami now.

Honestly, I love my blue gouramis. I might have to try some since I got rid of my big O.

Looking at some pictures and videos and I can't help but agree. They really are a nice looking fish.

After setting up the 29 today it just feels like a huge tank. I can't imagine how some of you that have 55s and 100+ gallon tanks feel staring at your massive tanks.

Anyway, since cichlids are out of the question and I don't want to potentially deal with babies, it's looking like increasing the school, adding a different top dwelling school, or the blue/opaline gouramis. Something about the mostly blue gourami off-setting with the mostly red firemouth is really appealing to me.
