What a monster. I bet you could put your head in his mouth.

Wow, what an awesome fish!

nice tem....johnptc probably have one that big if not bigger in his 10k gal tank

I have no doubts on the size or legitimacy of the fish, but I call shenanigans on the fact that he was alone and it took 3.5 minutes. The fish still looks alive, and that's probably when and where he caught it, so who took the pics? And if that truly took so little time to land, he must have been using like 100lb test and just yanked the thing in without fighting it, and wheres the fun in that?

I don't think I've ever caught a striper that didnt take 5 or more minutes to land, and that thing is a beast compared to a small striper!

I think it's dead. Click on some of the other pictures; those that were released state so. The caption under his picture doesn't say it was released...so it is probably dead.

...And delicious. :naughty:

Oh. I only looked at the one pic in the thread so I was under the impression that it was released alive. Usually they like to encourage the release of records like this. I still don't believe it only took 3.5 minutes though...

On a side note, I would probably be crying on the inside, but I would like to try Pbass at some point. I heard that they were pretty good to eat. I would still take one in my tank instead of in my stomach though.;)
