Im thinking about starting a 29g cichlid tank, and was wondering what kind i could keep in a tank of that size? Atm in looking in to Fire mouth's ,yellow lab's, Electric Yellow's, Blue Johanni's, Demasoni's, Red Zebra's, and Red Parrot's. Ive never had cichlid's and i realy don't know much about them.

Look into rams, apistos, kribs, jewelled cichlids. Ive got a small group of Bolivian rams in my 29g and am really happy with them. You may also want to look into a pair on Convicts, but they will own that tank.

You could maybe try a colony of demasoni's but you will need a lot of rockwork and expect deaths.

a much easier tank would be apisto cacatoides they are my favorite. Rams, and kribs are great choices too.

Dworf cichlids are cool if you"s only got a small tank! could probley have 3-4 groups of difrent species in that tank buddy! just keep the water a little softer and ph around 6 mate!

Would a tank with Cockatoo's german blue ram's and kribensis's work?
Yah should work mate! may have little trouble with kribensis" can bully other dworfs!

you could swop kribensis for Apistogramma"

Apistogramma pandurini (panda dworf) smart breeding colours!
Apistogramma Hongsloi if you can get!
Apistogramma Agassizi stunning colour the male!

idk if i agree with this. I had 3 female and a male apisto cacatoide in my 29 and during breeding they were nasty to all the other tank inhabitants. I would stick with one group on a 29 because a 29 doesn't have that large of a foot print. And most dwarf cichlids need a spot to call their own on the ground.
