I have it full of water and with plants now, but I can't find my camera card reader. I might have to go to Staples to get a new one so I can process all these pictures that I have.
Beautiful. And very cool setup with the open top on the ss frame. Love the minimalist look of the tank, plants, and stand.
Question about your mangrove tank. Are you running brackish?
You were asking about chromides. Rapps has some. Quoted from his site:
""Etroplus maculatus ‘orange’ 1.5-2” 10.00 or 6 @ 8.00 highly colorful ‘orange chromide’-solid tangerine orange color-gorgeous!
“ suratensis 2.5-3” 15.00 or 6 @ 12.50 F1 ‘green chromides’ – incredibly showy, large growing, mellow beauty""

Question about your mangrove tank. Are you running brackish?
Thanks very much. This wil be a very simple setup. I am going to keep it bare-bottom and just use a sponge filter then decorate the underwater area with plastic plants and a few other things. I want to find some of those old antique mason jars made with blue glass and put one in there. I already sunk a green-tinted wine bottle and it looks nice with the sunlight shining through.
I haven't had time to work on the brackish tank any more lately and it still just has fresh water in it. Maybe this weekend I will have time for that again.
Here's a quick update with the whole setup. I put (plastic) plants and a few other decorations into the underwater area and the fish is in there too...
