ok im starting on my first filter build and just looking for a little input. (sorry if you cant see my guide lines clear). im thinking of placing glass where its marked, except under the bio area.

ok, so im going to the home depot today. to pick up the other supplies. what size pump should i be running? im going to use this on my 100 gal, rtc\ tsn x rtc\ paroon\ clown knife, are the fish in this tank right now.

Those are all messy carnivores, so go with the biggest one they have!

your gonna need a huge tank for those fish(the rtc and rtc x tsn) or a pond. 100 gallons wont hold them for long. and when the rtc and rtc x tsn get bigger they might eat your clown knife, just a heads up

Get a quiet one pump from pet's mart 3x turn over is a good rule of thumb so you don’t have to grow crazy purchasing a overly unnecessary price pump, oh and you forgot your egg crate.

Very true these guys will out grow the 100 gallons within months!

i dont know how to size pump to sump tank size but i'd get one with atleast 7-8 time turn over rate. by the time it gets up to your tank it will be at probably 5-6. i'm making a sump out of my 29g. i'm going to keep a watch on this one.
