im in need of more filtration, i currently have a fluval 305 and a med sz marineland HOB in my 75g. theres currentyl around 12 mbunas. the hob is unable to keep up and is always clogged and the amount of waste floating is well nasty. would another 305 be accetpable? im looking to stay under $150, any suggestions are great thanks

try an xp3 which you can get for <150 off ebay. Or craigslist one and you'll find cheaper! Maybe get lucky and find a <$150 FX5!

easy easy easy... that is if you have to maintance them the 2217 is a workhorse. i have one i got new for 159, and would do it again. cant go wrong with them

You could stay under 75$ and get either an Emperor 400 or an ac110. Both hob, maintenance is a breeze and really cheap, since your replacing a hob anyways. 2217 and xp3 are great but you'll spend twice as much$ on both of those and get alot less flow. All great filters though
